QUEEN NZINGA is one of the most celebrated African queens who resisted European colonisation. An adept politician and skilled military strategist, she waged a war against  the Portuguese in Angola for four decades, from 1620s to the 1660s, and is responsible for reducing the Portuguese colony in Luanda, present day Angola to a few miles.
